The Latin name is Lathyrus odoratus, or "very attractive". And, of course, it is. But there is a more common name for this plant - "fragrant peas". Yes, yes, this is a "decorative version" of the famous plant. It is both fragrant - has a very pleasant aroma, and attractive - the inflorescences of large petals resemble the open wings of a butterfly. The flower was especially popular in the Victorian era, in the late 19th century, but still occupies a worthy place among the floral favorites.
